Our dealership just picked up our first 2010 Equinox off the transport... wow. What a great tow vehicle.
30 mpg highway! The entry engine for the 2010 Equinox is a 2.4L Ecotec four-cylinder now offered for the first time in normally aspirated and direct-injected form. With 182 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque running through a new 6-speed automatic transaxle, this model will be the fuel efficiency champ of the lineup. The front-drive four cylinder should get 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. That's a huge increase over the 17/24 mpg values of the old engine.

FYI... The Car Allowance Rebate System will not apply to RV purchases based on the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating direction in the most recent governance. Here is a useful government link... www.cars.gov be sure to use the .gov, not .com

The IRS recently updated guidance on this for customers in states with no sales tax and for other fees associated with the new stimulus deduction... this provides two clarifications:
1. Other fees associated can be deducted: It was previously believed that new car buyers would only be able to deduct the sales tax on their vehicle.
2. Customers in states with no sales tax deduct other fees or taxes imposed by the state or local government

We now are up to speed on the entire 2010 lineup and wow! It will not be a quiet year for product development. Winnebago has done a wonderful job with new innovative floorplans and new chassis offerings!

Today we enjoyed our final employee potluck leading up to the June 26-27 Winnebago County Relay for Life. Each year, Lichtsinn Motors participates in the local Relay for Life at the Forest City High School track. This year we raised over $300 by holding Friday potlucks and we're excited to see what our total will be next weekend after all of our money has been collected.
The Relay for Life is a great event and we feel it's important to support the American Cancer Society.
Hopefully we'll have great weather next weekend and we can raise even more money for an important cause!
