I was taking some photos of an in-stock motor home when the Campbells pulled up in their car with a unique trailer in tow. This is definitely one of the coolest things I've seen from a customer in my three and a half years at Lichtsinn Motors. They go through the history of Winnebago Industries using the Flying W as a road showcasing the journey that led to them coming to Lichtsinn Motors today to pick up their brand new 2013 Winnebago. Enjoy the photos!

Hi there! This is Josh Damm, the Marketing & Special Events Director at Lichtsinn Motors.
During Grand National Rally I had a few free minutes so I whipped up a story using all of the current model names that Winnebago builds. See if you can spot them all (there are even a few old brands in the story that are no longer produced by Winnebago).
HINT: There are a total of 21 models listed in this story.
----
"It was the dawn of a new era at Lichtsinn Motors and the view in Forest City was beautiful -- filled with Navion aircraft flown by the Reyo Vasquez family, who had come to Iowa via Barcelona, Spain.
They were given unprecedented access to the skies of the Midwest and they followed their impulse to fly like birds (in this aspect they were the greatest aviators in the world).
From their vertical vista, they had seen sunstars, suncruisers and sunovas in the sky -- they were sightseers of the universe from here.
Their grand tour of the Midwest and earlier crossings of longitudinal meridians were highlights of their long careers. As adventurers of the world, they looked forward to each new journey -- their perspective constantly changing like a circle morphing into an ellipse.
The Winnebago tribe had discovered Lake Itasca in this region and they were on a mission to explore a new horizon. They looked to Cambria (the classical name for Wales) as their next destination."

Forest City, Iowa -- Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City, Iowa, contributed over $7,800 to the American Cancer Society last weekend through their participation in the Relay for Life of Winnebago County.
The local GM, Winnebago and Itasca dealership was a major sponsor for the event. Lichtsinn Motors' contribution accounted for over 9% of the total funds raised during the 2012 Relay for Life of Winnebago County. The event raised over $83,000 that will go toward cancer research.
Leading up to the relay, Lichtsinn Motors' employees organized bake sales, potlucks, the Holes of Hope ACS Golf Classic and other fundraising opportunities to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
"Unfortunately, cancer has negatively impacted all of us in one way or another," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors. "Our annual participation in the Winnebago County Relay for Life allows us to join in the fight against cancer. We truly enjoy joining with our community to make a difference and we're looking forward to raising even more money next year so we can find a cure for cancer as soon as possible."
Significant funds were donated through The We Care Charitable Giving plan at Lichtsinn Motors. The plan provides that $50 will be donated to one of six local organizations for each car or truck purchased at the Forest City dealership. The customer can choose which of these organizations the donation is given to.

Forest City, Iowa – Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City, Iowa, has been recognized as a 2012 Circle of Excellence winner by Winnebago Industries, Inc. To be honored as a Circle of Excellence dealer, Lichtsinn Motors excelled in customer satisfaction.
Lichtsinn Motors has received this award each year since 1994 (19 consecutive years).
Winnebago Industries established the industry’s first dealer excellence program in 1986 in order to recognize select dealers for excellence in customer satisfaction. This year, 104 dealers were honored with the Circle of Excellence award at the Company’s Dealer Days event in Las Vegas, Nev., May 14-16. Dealers were recognized for their excellence in customer satisfaction as it relates to the customers’ sales and service experience.
“Winnebago Industries is pleased to recognize Lichtsinn Motors – one of only 104 outstanding dealers that earned this year’s Circle of Excellence award,” said Winnebago Industries’ Chairman, CEO and President Randy Potts. “Lichtsinn Motors has proven that they are the best of the best by providing exceptional customer service. Lichtsinn Motors provides knowledgeable sales personnel, qualified service technicians and quality warranty and after-market service support to customers. Their commitment to providing excellent customer service is why Lichtsinn Motors is deserving of this award.”
Circle of Excellence scoring is determined by rating dealers in four categories:
- A Purchase and Delivery Satisfaction Study which is direct customer feedback after the purchase of a motor home
- A Customer Satisfaction Study which surveys customers six months after their purchase
- A Sales and Marketing Assessment that evaluates a dealership’s sales, market share, stocking levels and participation in product training and the Winnebago Itasca Travelers Club (WIT)
- A Service/Parts Assessment that evaluates a dealership’s warranty/parts inventory, service training and certified technicians, and traveling customer care
Lichtsinn Motors carries the Winnebago, Itasca and Era lines of motor homes from Winnebago Industries.
