Winnebago Industries, Inc., a leading United States (U.S.) recreation vehicle manufacturer, today unveiled exciting new 2014 models to the Company's Winnebago, Itasca, SunnyBrook and Winnebago Touring Coach dealer partners at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.
It was "Game On" as Winnebago Industries showcased the new 2014 lineup and the debut of several all-new products, including the all-new Winnebago Touring Coach line which now joins Winnebago and Itasca to make up the three motorhome product lines of Winnebago Industries. Winnebago Touring Coach includes the very successful Era product, which is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, as well as the new Travato Class B product built on the exciting new Ram ProMaster Chassis. Lichtsinn Motors, Inc. names Heidi Thompson Vice President, Finance and Human Resources
Forest City, Iowa - Lichtsinn Motors, Inc. of Forest City has promoted Heidi Thompson to the officer position Vice President, Finance and Human resources effective January 18, 2013. In this position Heidi will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, financing, and budget management functions and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. She will also be responsible for personnel reporting, staff management, and other employee management functions of the corporation in accordance with dealership policies and practices as well as any regulatory and administrative requirements of small businesses, advisory authorities and organizations.

Forest City Emergency Services Center Added to We Care Charitable Giving Program
Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City, Iowa, has added the Forest City Emergency Services Center to its We Care Charitable Giving Program, in which Lichtsinn Motors will donate $50 to the customer's choice of one of six pre-selected organizations for each new or pre-owned car or truck purchased at the Forest City dealership.
Lichtsinn Motors has committed to a minimum donation of $10,000 with a goal to raise $15,000 over the next year for the Forest City Emergency Services Center.
"We are excited to add the Forest City Emergency Services Center to our We Care Program. This new facility is an important improvement and addition to the involved community services," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors. The Emergency Services Center will support the needs of the Ambulance, Paramedic and Fire Departments for the areas in and around Forest City which they serve.
Since the We Care program's inception in October of 2009, Lichtsinn Motors has given over $35,000 to the We Care organizations.
The six We Care organizations for 2012 are: the Forest City Emergency Services Center, Hospice of North Iowa, the American Cancer Society, the Forest City Community School District, the Lake Mills Community School District, and the Forest City YMCA.
In addition, each customer has the opportunity to nominate other organizations for consideration for the following year's list. Organizations have the opportunity to submit an application to be part of the next year's list as well.
This is an ongoing dealership program and donations are made annually.

Reed Burkholder joins Lichtsinn Motors as RV Sales Consultant
Forest City, Iowa - Reed Burkholder is the newest RV sales consultant at Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City, Iowa. He is a Forest City High School graduate and received his B.A. in sports management with a minor in marketing from Minnesota State University in Mankato.
"This is an exciting opportunity because RVs have been a big part of my family growing up," he said. "Helping people find exactly what they are looking for and developing life-long friendships is very important to me."
Burkholder's entire family has direct ties to the motor home industry. His sister, Heidi Thompson, was a top sales consultant for Lichtsinn Motors and continues to work at the dealership as the controller. While Burkholder's father, Dennis, was the Winnebago-Itasca Travelers Club General Manager, and his mother, Bev, often traveled around the United States with Dennis meeting with Winnebago and Itasca motor home owners.
Burkholder has sales experience in the golf industry and was previously a golf professional in Iowa and Arizona.
In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
Kelsey Barhite joins Lichtsinn Motors as RV Sales Consultant
Forest City, Iowa - Kelsey (Lunning) Barhite recently joined Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City, Iowa, as an RV Sales Consultant.

Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City has been recognized as a 2011 Circle of Excellence winner by Winnebago Industries, Inc. To be honored as a Circle of Excellence dealer, Lichtsinn Motors excelled in customer satisfaction.
Winnebago Industries established the industry's first dealer excellence program in order to recognize select dealers for excellence in customer satisfaction. Lichtsinn Motors has received this award each year since 1994. (17 consecutive years)

Hannah will provide customer service to car/truck and recreational vehicle customers at Lichtsinn Motors.
"Hannah's outstanding service to both internal and external customers, common-sense problem solving skills and overall fit to our team are the main reasons for her promotion to this important position within our dealership," said owner, Ron Lichtsinn.
Hannah has experience in automotive sales having been a GM sales consultant at Lichtsinn Motors.
Hannah graduated from Waldorf College with a BA degree in business and an emphasis in management and banking finance.

Forest City, Iowa - Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City recently donated $1,300 to the Forest City Community School District as part of their We Care Charitable Giving program.
The We Care plan was started in October 2009 and provides that Lichtsinn Motors will donate $50 to the customer's choice of one of five pre-selected organizations for each new or pre-owned car or truck purchased at the Forest City dealership.
"The We Care Program allows us to direct our giving funds to those organizations that our customers tell us are important to them," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors. "Since myself and many Lichtsinn Motors employees graduated from Forest City, we are especially proud to make this contribution in order to provide educational opportunities to our local youth." The funds will be used at the school's discretion.
The five We Care organizations for 2009-2010 are: The American Cancer Society, HOSPICE of North Iowa, the Forest City Community School District, the Forest City Chamber of Commerce/Economic Development, and Bear Creek Golf Course. In addition, each customer has the opportunity to nominate other organizations for consideration for the following year's list. Forest City, Iowa - Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City recently donated $1,500 to the American Cancer Society through their We Care plan making their annual donation to ACS over $2,200 for the year.
The We Care plan was started in October 2009 and provides that Lichtsinn Motors will donate $50 to the customer's choice of one of five pre-selected organizations for each new or pre-owned car or truck purchased at the Forest City dealership.
"The We Care Program allows us to direct our giving funds to those organizations that our customers tell us are important to them," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors. "Our customers told us that the American Cancer Society was important to them, and we are providing them this donation after only 8 months of the We Care Plan to coincide with the upcoming June 26 Relay for Life of Winnebago County."
Team Lichtsinn is a major corporate sponsor for the 2010 Relay for Life of Winnebago County. The $1,500 donation through the We Care program is only a part of the funds they will donate to the American Cancer Society during the month of June.

Branstad campaign purchases RV from Lichtsinn Motors

Forest City, Iowa -- Gov. Terry Branstad's "Comeback Express" vehicle has been busy traveling across the state of Iowa over the last week but the Itasca Navion motor home began its journey in Forest City when Lichtsinn Motors sold the RV to the campaign.
The "Comeback Express" Itasca Navion was unveiled on Monday, Jan. 18, at Branstad's campaign headquarters and was used to transport the governor during his 17-city, 4-day "Iowa Comeback Tour." It will also be the official campaign vehicle during the entire 2010 re-election campaign.
"We're used to selling motor homes to individuals and businesses but it's always exciting when a political campaign calls and is looking for a touring vehicle," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors.
The motor home is an Itasca Navion 23H -- a popular Class C motor home that can achieve up to 18 miles per gallon.
Itasca is a line of motor homes manufactured by Winnebago Industries in Forest City. Lichtsinn Motors is located one mile away from the Winnebago factory.

Forest City, Iowa -- Thanks to donations from customers and attendees of the Annual Lichtsinn Motors Holiday Open House, Lichtsinn Motors was able to donate dozens of food items to the Neighborhood Food Bank in Forest City.
The Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 12, featured chili, hot dogs, cookies and beverages and Santa even made an appearance for pictures with the children who attended.
Joseph Hovinga, son of Jeff and Coleen Hovinga of Forest City, won the drawing for a free children's bicycle. Robert Knutson of Forest City won the drawing for a free oil change and multi-point inspection from Lichtsinn Motors.

Forest City, Iowa -- Casey Henely recently joined Lichtsinn Motors, Forest City, IA as an RV sales consultant. Casey graduated from Iowa State University where she received her BA degree in psychology and business. Casey is looking forward to working in the RV industry with Lichtsinn Motors, Iowa's #1 Motor Home Dealer since 2002. She is excited for this challenge and to work with people on a one-to-one basis.
Casey currently lives in Lake Mills. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, playing golf and spending time with family and friends.

Area dealer says exit from bankruptcy will restore confidence

Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City, said he thinks that GM's emergence from bankruptcy will restore confidence in the company and focus more of its efforts on product development.
"I think it will restore confidence from the standpoint of the decision to cover all warranty and product liability obligations," he said.
"Typically when a company comes out of bankruptcy they don't."
In terms of product development, Lichtsinn said he thinks "we'll see a lot more focus on more efficient, more greener platforms, which has actually been directed from the (Obama) administration."
Lichtsinn said he doesn't think North Iowans will see a dramatic impact from changes in General Motors.
"The larger dealers in Mason City, Clear Lake, Forest City and Garner will continue," he said. Probably the biggest impact is the discontinuation of the Pontiac brand. It was expected to close at the end of the model 2010 year, which would be next summer, but is now planned to close at the end of this year.
Lichtsinn sells Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac and Pontiac.
"We're excited to move forward with GM," he said."We have a lot of GM customers and are happy from the new product standpoint and providing customer warranties."
Lichtsinn Motors contributes over $4,600 to Winnebago County Relay for Life

Forest City, Iowa -- Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City, Iowa, contributed over $4,600 to the American Cancer Society last weekend through their participation in the Winnebago County Relay for Life.
The local GM, Winnebago and Itasca dealership was a Gold Level Sponsor for the event, which was held at the Forest City High School track on June 26-27. Lichtsinn Motors' contribution accounted for over 9% of the total funds raised during the 2009 Winnebago County Relay for Life.
Leading up to the relay, Lichtsinn Motors' employees organized bake sales, potlucks, soda sales and other fundraising opportunities to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
"Unfortunately, cancer has negatively impacted all of us in one way or another," said Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn Motors. "Our annual participation in the Winnebago County Relay for Life allows us to join in the fight against cancer. We truly enjoy joining with our community to make a difference and we're looking forward to raising even more money next year so we can find a cure for cancer as soon as possible."

Winnebago Industries established the industry's first dealer excellence program in order to recognize select dealers for excellence in customer satisfaction. Lichtsinn Motors has received this award each year since 1994. (15 consecutive years)

Forest City, Iowa -- As part of Forest City High School's May 14 Senior Awards Night, the $500 Hope and Ron Lichtsinn Scholarship was awarded to Kailey Bunger, who will attend Drake University in Des Moines next fall majoring in pharmacy.
The Hope and Ron Lichtsinn Scholarship reflects consistent support by the Lichtsinn family toward the growth of the North Iowa area.
Each year the scholarship is awarded to a Forest City High School senior who has displayed progressive participation in extracurricular activities such as volunteerism, academic groups, the arts or sports, and has plans of attending an Iowa college or university.
The scholarship is given in conjunction with the Forest City Dollars for Education Program.
Past recipients of the Hope and Ron Lichtsinn Scholarship include: Katie Honsey (2008), Nate Tobey (2007), Aaron Friederich (2006) and Marcus Severson (2005).
Lichtsinn Motors to host free child safety seat fit station on May 9

Forest City, Iowa -- Lichtsinn Motors of Forest City will host a free Child Safety Seat Fit Station on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lemonade, cookies and children's coloring books will also be offered free of charge.
The event is being sponsored by North Central Iowa Volunteers for Child Safety and Lichtsinn Motors.
"This event is a great opportunity for our dealership to promote safety and give back to the community," said Josh Damm, marketing and events director. "It's also a nice way for families to enjoy Mother's Day Weekend by ensuring their children are safe when they are riding in the family vehicle."
Seatbelts in vehicles were designed for adults and Lichtsinn Motors is committed to adapting to child safety seats to protect children. A new state law requires children five and under to use child safety seats.
