Hi! My name is Mike Haugen and I am a Sales Consultant at Lichtsinn RV. I was raised in Forest City and have lived in town nearly most of my life, minus college. While growing up, I worked for my family’s construction company. My wife and I have chosen to continue to live in Forest City where we are raising two children; a boy and a girl. Both of my kids are active with extracurricular where my wife and I help coach the sports they are involved in.

It took us about 9 months to figure out what we wanted and Mike was there through the entire process taking my calls and answering questions when we needed him. The service center is a 5 star shop. We had a warranty item and they gave us a date and time to be there and that is the date and time they took it in shop. No waiting around and wondering when they would get to us. Yes, absolutely for Lichtsinn - the RV Dealer from Forest City, IA located in Winnebago County. The facility is modern and spotless, reflecting their attention to detail you see in the videos of their product.
This a family-owned RV dealership with an excellent track record. Community oriented with the local surroundings and the nation as many come from all over North America to purchase an RV from them. Would I do this again? Yes - absolutely! But next time I'd drive the one we have for a trade on a new one. From the minute I was picked up at the airport by John, and then meeting Lauren at the reception desk, then to meeting Mike Haugen my sales consultant, you knew this was a place you can trust. The whole staff acted as a Team from A to Z, from product selection, to financing, and to the service team as we walked through the product, all acted in unison.
Purchasing an RV/Camper Van is a big deal, and that doesn't go unnoticed at Lichtsinn. What sealed the conclusion on this further for me was the older couple I met in their late 70's there - they said they have bought seven RV's (yes 7) with Lichtsinn since 1998. I think that speaks for itself. If you are thinking of making the journey to Lichtsinn, do not hesitate, make the journey or let them come to you!"

"Our story starts like many others who have purchased from Lichtsinn RV. After researching what my wife and I were interested in, friends directed us to Lichtsinn . We were not disappointed. We were picked up in St. Paul Minnesosta after traveling from Michigan. John our driver filled us in on the sites along our journey, and made our drive very enjoyable. Mike Haugen - he had listened to what we were looking for and with a no pressure, informative style, helped us find our EKKO sprinter. He delivered. "It took us almost a year to decide what to buy, but once we did, the process at Lichtsinn RV was flawless. During our period of indecision, it was nice to be able to pick up the phone, contact Mike Haugen and get some Q/A out of the way. No nagging calls or endless emails, either. In fact, I don’t know another salesperson at Lichtsinn, but they have them.
For delivery, their support staff was extremely knowledgeable, the orientation was long enough to get all our questions answered and the few glitches we found during that time were fixed within the hour. Their facilities are top notch and comfortable to lounge around in. We spent the night there, regrouped in the morning for a final Q/A and then hit the road.
Their website is great and in the modern era of YouTube, there is more than enough online to assist in follow-up training.
We love our 2025 Travato 59K and will be returning to Forest City to tour the B-Van factory down the road. Who knows, we may upgrade some year! We'll be back to Lichtsinn RV."

"My wife and I purchased a Winnebago Travato in 2021 from a dealer in Missouri and decided in early 2024 to trade for a Winnebago EKKO. We researched many dealers and decided to deal with Lichtsinn RV. I contacted them and Mike in sales answered immediately. Mike gave me many options to purchase a new or used EKKO over many months. We traveled to Lichtsinn RV in June 2024 to test drive both the Trekko and the Sprekko. Ultimately, we chose the Sprekko. Mike and Hannah worked with us to get a deal we liked and scheduled our pickup date. We picked up our Sprekko in July 2024. The orientation with Chris covered everything at a leisurely pace. Justin and Cade in the service department have also answered all my requests fast and scheduled our EKKO for repair. While I have never met the technician who actually repairs our EKKO, they have done an excellent job the first time. So here we are in April of 2025 and we have 12 months of experience with this dealer. I can say after 12 months that we are very satisfied with the Lichtsinn RV team and will continue to use them to service our EKKO. "I recently picked up our new Winnebago EKKO from Lichtsinn RV in Iowa. I had arrived the night before and parked overnight in their lot with my View which we were trading. When I awoke and looked outside, I found that Mike Haugen had already parked my new 2024 EKKO 22a next to me! Mike Haugen, who was also the Sales Consultant for our Winnebago View, introduced their technical walk thru specialist and he showed me the unit in detail and answered my many questions. After getting some accessories, signing paperwork and transferring our “stuff” I was on my way back to Maine.
Their whole team was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Their facility is outstanding and I only wish we lived closer so we could get routine work done there. We would not hesitate to use them again should the need arise."

"This was easily the best dealer experience we’ve ever had. My wife and I were in the market for a used Winnebago Revel. After we called to inquire about one they had online, the one we wanted already had a a deposit on it which was disappointing. But they were able to get us in a BRAND NEW one for a really good price! They are really close to the Winnebago factory so I assume they move so many of these units to the point where they can offer people great prices. You will have to make a 5k deposit to hold the vehicle for you, which means you have to be serious about buying, and we definitely were so it wasn’t a problem. Just expect that and know that it’s non refundable. They are very transparent about it though!
Additionally, Mike, Brandon, and Jeremy were all extremely helpful in the entire process. From the initial deal, to the financing, and then orientation with the vehicle, it was a very easy and pleasant experience. Not once did we feel pressured or frustrated or any of those “dealership feelings” that you would normally get.
We highly recommend giving this place a call. You will not regret it and we are in love with our new Revel!"
