We highly recommend Lichtsinn RV. Our first Winnebago View, purchased from them in 2007, attained 115,000 miles. Our second Winnebago View, purchased in 2021, already has 30,000 miles!

If you are thinking of buying a new Winnebago there is simply no better dealer to buy from. Getting a rig a mile from where it was built is great- but the level of customer service is what really sets this dealer apart from the rest. Spending a couple nights at the dealership to make sure you fully understand the rig and deal with any issues that come up was great.
My rig had a recall and we decided to drive from Tennessee back to Forest City to let Lichtsinn deal with it, also had some upgrades done at the same time. Their Service department is unlike 99% of the RV Dealer service departments- great communications, they do great work and the rates are reasonable. Anders was my service contact and was excellent- good guy and is a straight shooter.

Wow, an amazing showroom and huge lots of hundreds of models. The sales force was very helpful, friendly and professional. They took time to answer my questions and contacted their parts department for more information. They followed up with email. Comprehensive parts department. They have everything! 2023D I must take a moment to brag on our experience at Lichtsinn RV in Forest City, Iowa. From the day that we ordered this gem, the “Lichtsinn Family” has been there to answer ALL of our questions & concerns. We flew in from Arkansas & they had a car waiting for us. We had access to the car the entire time there to go to dinner, run errands & pick up things for the journey home. We had a complementary 1/2 day orientation of our new view. That afternoon we added a couple options to it & that night we spent our 1st night in our View right there plugged into Lichtsinn’s complimentary hookups, giving us time to “check things out” before heading home. Stacy Anderson was an absolute joy to work with, as was Anders in service, Jeremy at orientation & Kevin handling our paperwork. We highly recommend Lichtsinn RV & their staff to anyone even thinking about purchasing an RV. The “personal touch” of customer service truly makes a difference. It was definitely worth the trip!

We recently purchased a used (barely) Winnebago Navion from Lichtsinn. This is our third RV and we’ve had many cars over the 59 years of our marriage. Never before have we the excellent “everything” as with this one. Certainly, we’ve had excellent service before, but we’ve also had the worst, including with one previous motor home. We LOVE Lichtsinn. There were a few problems that Lichtsinn was quick to address. The service department is always available for help, and they know what they are talking about, which is rare in our RV experience! If you are looking for a sales to delivery process that is free of glitches and hassles I can’t recommend Lichtsinn RV highly enough. I live on the West Coast and just returned after picking up my RV in Forest City, Iowa. Lichtsinn had my unit in top shape and ready for delivery the day I arrived. All my options were installed per specification and after a thorough orientation, I was ready to hit the road. The only issue I had with my 2,500-mile return trip over mountain passes in extraordinarily high winds turned out to be operator error. My 2022 Winnebago View performed flawlessly and I averaged 15 mpg overall, exceptional given the wind conditions and extensive mountain pass driving. Anything that goes smoothly and appears “easy” is a lot more work that something poorly done, and Lichtsinn demonstrated that they really know what they are doing and and work hard to make everything come together for their customers. Five stars all around.

I had been looking for a class B van for the last year and a half. I started watching the YouTube video's that Ron put's out and reached out and contacted Reed my salesman at the dealership. After looking in my home state of Oklahoma and north Texas it was obvious I needed to make the 800 mile trip to Forest City, Iowa. My son and I flew to Minneapolis and were picked up at the airport by Jeremy who happened to be the person who was doing our orientation on the Travato. Not only was the cost of the Travato less but I ended up getting my insurance there also. Kevin handled the paperwork which took less than 30 minutes and Maggie took a picture of the proud new Travato owners. I am so glad I made the trip and don't be afraid to go the distance because it is worth it. The dealership is first class and all they sell is Winnebago so they know Winnebago inside and out. Also they have the best selection. I can't thank the team at Lichtsinn enough for making a long trip a very pleasant one. I just wish they were closer to me so I could go there for any service needs.

We researched for the best RV to fit our lifestyle and use and found it. We chose Lichtsinn RV based on their knowledge of our RV and their long standing reputation in the industry. This is our first RV purchase and we were very nervous. We traveled 1,000 miles to pick it up and all our stress went right out the Maxxfan when we were given a wonderful welcome. We joined all the wannabee FB groups and came with a list of everything we wanted to test. We were offered a 30amp hookup to stay as long as needed to test. We received a courtesy car to pick up any supplies needed. The walk through was great but we were also assigned our own technician for any problems or questions before we were ready to head home. Lichtsinn RV was a great decision for us, not just to purchase but for any future service. I might add that all the folks in Iowa we met are so friendly.

They should be given credit for creating a community at Lichtsinn where caring customer service would thrive. On our US trip we were traveling in a conversion van. We had been looking at RVs for a few years. While on the road we saw a RV that was quite cute. We looked up the specs and decided to do further investigations and looked up a dealership. I scheduled an appointment through Brian Buffington to have HWH Levelers installed on this unit. We arrived on September 28th for our appointment the following morning. The service team was ready to go early that day and we were provided a loaner car to see some of Forest City. This in itself was remarkable. Never have I experienced a dealership offering loaner vehicles for its customers. Additionally, the customer waiting room was fantastic, especially allowing pets to accompany their owners, but then again who owns who.
The motorhome was ready around 2:00pm and Luke the service technician went through the operation of the levelers. I appreciated his attention to detail even though I have had them on previous diesel coaches. By the way, they have worked flawlessly on our return trip home.
Again, Brian, Luke and the entire service team is to be commended on their professionalism and attention to the customer. In all my years of motorhome ownership, I have never had an experience as positive as this. I wish all RV dealerships took this positive approach to working with customers.

I can tell you I was more then a little nervous about buying a used motor home so far from home. But as it turns out it was a very nice experience. Everyone was a great help. The home went like a dream all the way back to Maine.Took us all week to make the trip home but we went all over the country going home. We haven`t done this in years. It was awesome . Reed you would have laughed our first night in the camp ground we stopped in we couldn`t remember how to put the slide out for the bed . We knew it was covered in the orientation . It took us about 20 mins realize if all else fails re the directions. We hope to come back your way next year. We will stop by and we will go to A&W rootbeer just up the road.

Thanks again David for helping me obtain a wiper motor for my Winnebago Adventurer 32H last week. You were kind enough to talk to my friend Kyle about the problem and figure out the part needed and actually had one in stock. We had checked with multiple Winnebago dealerships and several Camping World sites for the part to no avail. You sympathized with our situation of driving our RV without the benefit of wipers in the rain. When I talked to you, you were more than happy to ship the motor overnight to me in Nashville, our next scheduled stop. I just wanted to thank you for your help in getting the problem with the home theatre in my Aspect fixed. Tim Olson did a fantastic job in following up with Samsung when the Canadian Winnebago dealers and the Canadian Samsung technical service would not help me. Tim had Samsung send out a new home theatre replacement unit and the costs were all covered under warranty, including the shipping. I installed the replacement unit myself and it all works great now. I am an new owner of a 2002 Winnebago Sightseer. The seller pulled the leveling circuit panel and promised to send us the part. Six months later, we still did not have the part. My husband and I spent numerous hours trying to identify and locate the part from many companies such as PPL. We were very discouraged until we called David Straw. He has been outstanding and has provided services above and beyond call of duty!!!!! He was able to identify the part that was needed. He even contacted the seller with the information so that the seller could pay for the part. David then contacted us stating that the part was paid for by the seller and that it would be shipped on the next business day.

"We live in Alaska and bought a Winnebago 2012 VIEW 24M sight unseen. It was a factory promotional unit that had a few miles on it. Everything was straight forward and smooth. We flew into Minneapolis and were picked up by Bob or Bill, whom gave a great discertation on how Winnebago got started and the lay of the land in northern Iowa. Bob or Bill gave a great orientation of the unit. (I kept getting the two confused) We did have the air matteress, which is the main fold out bed, develop a slow leak the 1st night at the Lichtsinn camp area. The problem was quickly fixed with a new matterss the next morning. We toured the factory and got to see 1st hand the great quality of the Winnebago products. We immediately took the unit directly to San Diego to see out grandkids. We spent several nights at different camp sites and had several folks want to check out the View. This unit fits our Alaskan lifestyle to a "t". We had been traveling and camping in a truck camper for many years and this purchase is a big step-up for us. "A few weeks ago I purchased a 2018 59G Travato and I would like to express my appreciation by recognizing five employees. First, I need to say that if it wasn’t for Nicole Lovik-Blaser’s professionalism and patience I would had never purchased a Travato. Nicole was the playmaker and after several phone conversations she had me talk to Dan, in Finance on the phone. It was after one phone call with Dan that I determined he was really a knowledgeable man. Dan patiently worked through financing, insurance and warranty programs with me. Thus, after working with Nicole and Dan I decided to come from New Jersey to purchase my Travato from Lichtsinn RV in Iowa.
Upon my arrival I was picked up by a very friendly driver at the airport who made a two hour drive to Forest City seem like only 60 minutes. Next, I met Nicole who walked me to my Travato. Then she introduced me to her son, had me meet the Sales Manager Hannah Lunning, arranged for a courtesy car and gave me directions to the nearest hotel and restaurant. By the way, I had a great evening in Forest City and found the people to be very friendly.
The following morning I drove up to the dealership and saw my Travato out front. Nicole introduced me to Brett, a service technician. Brett gave me a two hour orientation and was very patient, knowledgeable and professional. Brett introduced me to Anders, my service consultant. Anders gave me his business card, answered some additional questions and informed me that he was my go-to guy if I ever had any problems or questions. Frankly, Anders made me feel comfortable knowing that I had someone to call. I then met with Nicole again and she brought me to Dan's office to finalize the purchase of my Travato. Nicole greeted me afterwards and congratulated me. After spending the night in your lot with other RV owners I headed back to NJ. A two day trip back home turned into three days since I wanted to break in my Travato correctly, not exceeding 60 miles per hour.
In closing, I commend Lichtsinn RV on their business program and their employees professionalism. Also, I would like to say thank you, to everyone who made my experience in purchasing my Travato. By the way, I named my Travato “KJ” after my kids, Kristin and Joseph. Also, I'm happy to report I am getting along well with KJ but KJ could never replace my kids who now live in North Carolina and Florida. However, I'm hoping KJ is going to make my trips to see them more enjoyable."

"I am officially no longer a wannabee. I flew to Minneapolis last Tuesday (May 16th) and was shuttled to Forest City, Iowa by Larry. We were at Lichtsinn by 1:00pm. As I have become more familiar with my rig, and given I am 2,100 miles from Forest City, I have had to contact both my Sales Representative (Nicole Lovik-Blaser) and my Service Representative (Justin Overland) on a few occasions - both via phone and email. I cannot begin to tell you how helpful both of these good people have been to me. Of course with a new motor home there will be issues encountered, or items that I just plain forgot from my orientation. Justin has been extremely helpful in answering my many questions and helping me trouble-shoot issues from afar. And of course Nicole is always attentive and responsive whenever i need her help.
Just a quick aside - I was camping on the Central Coast in California a few weeks ago. A new neighbor pulls up in a fairly new Winnebago, and of course we get to talking. "On January 10th, my wife and I sealed the deal on our 2017 Travato 59K. Since this was our first RV, we had numerous questions even after doing research for several months. Our sales person, Jason Sprecher, did an excellent job of listening to our thoughts. He avoided the dreaded "pushiness" of some sales people. In addition, Jason demonstrated the patience of Job as we deliberated whether to purchase or not.
After we decided on the Travato 59K, we did the unthinkable and asked if we could possibly pick it up within a week. (We wanted to take it on our winter vacation to the Southwest.) The team at Lichtsinn did it! Dan, the loan arranger, found us financing and worked with our insurance person to get us set up. Did you know that owners are blessed with an orientation for up to four hours? Jason set that up for us. Because we were new, I think we may have taken more than four hours of technician time. After our orientation, we went to the business office and took care of all of the paperwork. Then, Lichtsinn was very kind to let us pull our van inside to load the Travato out of the snow storm that had set in during the day. Because we wanted to leave immediately on our trip, they allowed us to park our van in the back while we were gone.
So, a shout out to the friendly staff, the owner (Ron), Jason, Dan, our tech orientation person, and our American Family Ins. agent, Brett, from Northfield, MN. All of these individuals worked together to make our experience stress free and enjoyable. We purchased some extras which were quickly and professionally installed by the service staff. We were provided a space to spend the night in the Fuse and were given a car to use that evening. We are sad that because we live in Knoxville, TN, we are too far away to have our service done by Lichtsinn in Iowa, but hope to visit them on one of our trips. We recommend them to anyone looking not only for a great deal on an RV, but also for outstanding service and professionalism. "My wife and I were shopping for a Class B van to replace our Truck Camper and had narrowed our choices down to a Travato 59G or 59K, all via online reviews and the Travato group on Facebook (a great resource, by the way). After a really bad experience with a local Winnebago dealer here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we decided to give Lichtsinn a try since no dealers anywhere near us had inventory to show us. The salesperson assigned to us, Nicole Lovik-Blaser, was extremely patient and helpful in answering the many questions we had. Tape measure in hand, she spent well over 90 minutes giving us a detailed "video tour" of he coach over the Internet (as the former CTO for a technology company, I was impressed with their creative use of technology. Every time we had a question, we got a response almost immediately. We ended up purchasing a 2016 Travato 59K they had in inventory, which they also retrofitted with some of new features from the 2017 model year, which was a great help, saving us both time and money compared to waiting on a new 2017 model from the factory. When the "K" was ready for delivery, they picked me up at the airport (for a reasonable $100 fee) and then spent the better part of the day on orientation with the coach, which was thorough and professional. I did run into a small problem during the trip home which required a return to the dealer, but their service team resolved the problem quickly and to my complete satisfaction. Though I had to fly more than halfway across the country and drive back, I can heartily recommend the team at Lichtsinn RV for their product knowledge, professionalism and overall friendly and responsive customer service."

We took delivery of our 2016 Nation 24J in May, 2015. Last week, May 9th, I returned to your dealership to resolve warranty items before our first year of ownership was up.
I could not have had a better experience! Your service department did a great job in addressing our warranty issues. Justin Overland, and the tech in the shop, performed at 100%. While I had a long list, some 12 to 14 issues, many were minor items that did not effect our ability to use the coach. Several, did require a fair amount of time to repair. The coach was in the shop all day Monday and two more hours on Tuesday.
The end results were better than I could have hoped for! During an inspection of the motor home, a seal on the roof, was found to be defective and was repaired (I didn’t know I had a problem). Justin expedited a “purchase order” with HWH and saved us $500+ on leveling jacks we had installed later in the week.

I bought a Winnebago View from Lichtsinn earlier this year. I live in CT and I traveled all the way to Iowa to buy from Lichtsinn. It is a long way to go for an RV that I could have bought here in CT. Let me tell you why I traveled so far to buy this RV. I started my search for an RV a few years back and in the process came across Lichtsinn via their wonderful YouTube video series; if you have not seen it, go find it. I looked at RV's locally and in a radius of about 150 miles from my home. I found a number of dealers that I could have bought from. One of the dealers I caught telling lies, one I found myself telling them what the features of the RV were, one just did not return my calls, and one did not seem like they could handle the solar install that I wanted from the dealer at the time of purchase. In the end, the choice was pretty simple; I could buy locally and get worse service, or travel to Iowa and do better. I chose the latter. Lichtsinn did not let me down. From the first day I contacted them, till today a month after the sale, they are there with me; fair, honest, and knowledgeable. They lead me through the process of selecting features and making an order, made my wife and I feel at home when we arrived, helped us understand the RV's complexities both at the time of delivery, and beyond, and I believe truly cared that we are happy with this major purchase. If you are buying a Winnebago you should seriously consider buying from the experts at Lichtsinn, no matter where you are located. It will be worth the trip to get the quality of service and expertise of Lichtsinn RV. If I ever buy another RV, I will be coming back to Lichtsinn. I recommend Lichtsinn 100%!

"There is only one No. 1 Winnebago/Itasca dealer: Lichtsinn Motors. Despite living over 600 miles from the dealership, we were able to purchase a '12 Winnebago Adventurer mostly via phone and email. "Our dealer was Lichtsinn RV. Winnebago does not do delivery. We really like Lichtsinn RV for a number of reasons and would purchase another unit from them.
We went back for a some warranty work. There was a leak around the hydraulic pump (leveling jacks) that I likely could have fixed but decided there could be a big downside if I stripped a connection while trying to tighten. While there the tech thought the jacks were making too much noise, the Lippert rep came over from the factory and concurred.
There were no jacks in the parts stock so Winnebago took the out of the production line. Jacks were replaced the next day and we were on the road.
Lichtsinn RV treated us like family. Winnebago is a star. We are totally pleased."

"Lichtsinn RV is about your only option. They are fine folks as others have said. We just picked up our new coach from them last week, and were able to have a very good walk through with the tech who was able to explain every little detail to us.

"From the first phone call to the last training session our experience with the people at Lichtsinn Motors could not have been better. Jason arranged everything from receiving our three boxes of supplies to sending Lannie to pick us up at the Minneapolis airport. Our training session with Brad was well planned; we learned a lot about our coach and had fun thanks to his terrific sense of humor. The option to stay on-site with electric hook up and the use of a car the first night went way beyond our expectations. There was even fuel and water in their respective tanks!
We purchased the Winnebago View 24V and the Mercedes drives like a dream - easier and better than our Mercedes SUV. We like purchasing a RV with only 22 miles on it rather than the "new" ones on the west coast with 2,800 miles....and we really are getting 17-18 mpg!!! Plenty of storage, beautiful refrigerator, exceptionally comfortable driver/passenger seats, and a great shower.

"Recently as we were finishing a long trip thru the Rockies and plains we were in Iowa and discovered a water leak from the left wheel well area.
Since we were planning on going near Forest City, IA anyway I called Lichtsinn Motors. It was Friday afternoon. Tim the service manager there worked us in for first thing Monday AM, even though they were booked for two weeks ahead.
As I was checking the vehicle in, he asked if there were any other things we wanted checked since it was still under warranty. I gave him several minor items but told him they only mattered if he had time to get to them. The water leak was the most important.
They gave us a courtesy car, allowed us to stay there all weekend, and fixed everything on the list by noon Monday.
