Forest City, Iowa March 2026 – This past weekend Lichtsinn RV hosted its annual Employee Appreciation Event at the Mason City Ice Arena, where the team enjoyed dinner and an exciting, down-to-the-wire North Iowa Bulls hockey game against the Watertown Shamrocks. This annual appreciation event is held as a thank you to the entire Lichtsinn RV team for their efforts during the prior year.
In 2025 these accomplishments included being awarded the Number One Dealer of Winnebago Motor Homes in North America for 11 consecutive years, the Number One Motor Home Dealer in the State of Iowa for the 24th consecutive year awarded by Statistical Surveys Inc. and receiving the Winnebago Flying W Customer Service Satisfaction Award for the 32nd consecutive year. Lichtsinn RV also maintained consistent Google Reviews over 4.6 stars and achieved a 98% recommended rate on Facebook Reviews for the 2025 calendar year. In 2025 the Lichtsinn team also successfully integrated Newmar Freedom Aire motorhomes into their lineup and added the full line of Newmar parts and service support.
Awards were given throughout the event to recognize specific employees for their efforts over the past year. The first award given was the “You Make a Difference Award.” Nominated by their peers, there were (2) award recipients for the 2025 calendar year. The first award was given to Hannah Lunning, a Lichtsinn RV Sales Manager, for the best-in-class service she provides to other team members and our guests with a consistent cheerful demeanor. She is consistently supportive of the team and maintains a high level of professionalism, regardless of the situation.
The second “You Make a Difference Award” was given to Laura Wellendorf, a Lichtsinn RV Administrative Assistant. Laura was honored with this award for her consistently welcoming smile, showing kindness to everyone around her, supporting her co-workers, and carrying herself with grace in all that she does.
Additional awards were given out to recognize 2025 calendar year “years of service” and dedication to Lichtsinn RV.
Brian Buffington/Fixed Operations Director, celebrated his 10-year service anniversary. Justin Overland/RV Service Consultant, also celebrated his 10-year service anniversary and Hannah Lunning/Lichtsinn RV Sales Manager, celebrated her 15-year service anniversary.
5-year service anniversaries were celebrated by: Jamie Hanson/Finance and Insurance Manager, Mike Haugen/RV Sales Consultant, Kerby Helgeson/Controller and Human Resources Manager and Chris Sorenson/Service Technician. Brett Torkelson/Service Technician celebrated his 10-year service anniversary.
