Built with the same commitment to craftsmanship that defines every Newmar motor home, the Freedom Aire showcases engineering excellence in a compact, highly refined platform. Built with premium materials and proven building methods, this coach reflects Newmar’s commitment to durability and performance. Features like a one-piece laminate block foam roof, Azdel sidewalls, and seamless rotocast tanks are just a few examples of how every detail is considered with longevity in mind. Continue reading to explore the core construction elements that make the Freedom Aire stand out.
NEWMAR FREEDOM AIRE CABINETRY
Since 1968, Newmar has built every coach in Nappanee, Indiana, drawing on the unmatched craftsmanship and attention to detail of the local Amish and Mennonite communities. Each cabinet is custom-built, hand sanded, and carefully finished, resulting in true residential-quality craftsmanship. Solid wood cabinetry, dovetail drawer construction, and soft-close drawers and upper cabinets all reflect Newmar’s commitment to lasting quality.

NEWMAR FREEDOM AIRE ROOF
At the top of the Newmar Freedom Aire is a one-piece, crowned fiberglass roof, built using block foam and batten insulation for an impressive 19 R Value. This construction creates a strong, walkable surface. To ensure lasting performance, each motor home is put through an extensive rain bay test, simulating 6 inches of rain per minute for 20 minutes with the slide out in and out.

NEWMAR FREEDOM AIRE SIDEWALLS
Newmar uses Azdel composite panels in the Freedom Aire sidewalls in comparison to other manufacturers that often use traditional lauan plywood. Unlike wood-based materials, Azdel is not affected by temperature fluctuations, resists mold and mildew, and will not rot or delaminate over time. It’s also approximately half the weight of lauan which provides you with better occupant and cargo carrying capacity (OCCC) and improved fuel efficiency. In addition, Azdel provides twice the insulation value and enhanced sound reduction, all while being manufactured without formaldehyde or other toxic materials, supporting both a longer RV lifespan and a more environmentally responsible build.

NEWMAR FREEDOM AIRE HOLDING TANKS
The Newmar Freedom Aire features rotocast holding tanks. These tanks are formed through a rotational molding process that creates a single piece, seamless structure. Without any seams or bonded joints, they are far less susceptible to cracking or leaking over time. Each tank is sized using computer-aided design to allow Newmar to build the tanks around the floorplan ensuring the tanks are as large as possible, maximizing fresh water and holding tank capacities.

Thoughtfully engineered from top to bottom, the Newmar Freedom Aire combines time-tested craftsmanship with modern materials and construction techniques. From its durable roof and advanced sidewalls to its precision built cabinets and seamless tank systems, every component is designed with longevity in mind.
