Chassis and Cab

The Freedom Aire is built on the powerful Mercedes-Benz 4500 Sprinter chassis with a gross vehicle weight rating of 12,125 lbs. This construction allows for the use of higher quality build materials with the structural support to have luxurious amenities throughout. The premium Mercedes-Benz 4500 Sprinter chassis delivers confident handling and performance that will be appreciated on winding roads and also in quaint small-town streets.

Travel in comfort and style as the Mercedes-Benz heated driver and passenger seats feature power adjustments, and power lumbar support for a truly personalized ride. Upholstered in true Italian leather, these seats extend a sense of luxury from the front to the back of your motorhome. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, simply swivel the driver and passenger seat to face the back of the coach to add additional seating to your living space.

On the exterior of the Freedom Aire, you’ll find Newmar’s Masterpiece Finish. This finish is an exclusive, full-body paint system unique to Newmar motorhomes. The finish is meticulously applied within their own paint facility by skilled artisans. Utilizing BASF paints, the painting process involves multiple layers. The clear coat delivers a long-lasting gloss, UV resistance, and enhanced scratch protection.

Newmar uses time-tested residential construction techniques to create a coach that’s built to last. Each component in the construction of Freedom Aire plays a crucial role.

16” On-Center Aluminum Framing – Newmar constructs its sidewalls using a hung-wall method. Aluminum frames are welded with studs placed 16” on center, similar to residential building standards, ensuring a sturdy and durable structure.

Appreciate the precision of the Freedom Aire cabinetry, the elegance of the true Italian leather upholstery, and the thoughtful placement of every feature. The Freedom Aire offers two premium vinyl flooring options, six leather options, and Maple hardwood cabinets in Suede or a High Gloss Finish – available in 5 colors and 4 two-tone options. The hardwood cabinetry throughout the Freedom Aire features soft-close cabinet drawers and doors and concealed cabinet door hinges. Cabinet drawers are built with dove tail sides and self-closing full extension ball bearing guides

Make the most of your living space, day and night, with the optional layout you’ll find a King-Size Murphy bed Dinette combo. This industry leading furniture configuration transforms from a comfortable dinette during the day to a spacious king-size Murphy bed at night–and it’s only found in the Newmar Freedom Aire. When this configuration is chosen, the U-shape dinette is replaced with a 63″ powered theater seat. In the standard layout, you will find a traditional U-shaped dinette with storage below and a 74″ sofa which can be converted, with the push of a button, to a queen-size Murphy bed.

Electrical

You have the option to choose the all electric option with no LP on board in your Freedom Aire. Powered by Lithionics lithium ion batteries, 960-amp hour system (one – 640amp hour and one – 320 amp hour battery), totaling 12,399-watt hours of energy. Paired with a Victron 3,000-watt Pure Sine Wave inverter, it powers your electrical components including the air conditioner, Timberline hydronic heat and hot water system, and induction cooktop. This option also includes a second under the hood alternator to quickly replenish the Lithionics batteries, in addition to charging from the solar panels or when using shore power electricity.
