FOREST CITY, IOWA, May 2025 – Earlier this month, at the Forest City Education Foundation Senior Awards Night, the Hope and Ron Lichtsinn Family Scholarship was given, reflecting the consistent support from the Lichtsinn family towards the growth of the Forest City community and overall North Iowa area. This represents the 21st consecutive year that the Lichtsinn Family has provided a scholarship to Forest City High School seniors.
The Lichtsinn Family Scholarship is awarded each year to a Forest City High School Senior/s who has/have met minimum GPA requirements and has/have displayed progressive participation in extracurricular activities such as volunteerism, academic groups, the arts, or sports.

This year there were two recipients of the Lichtsinn Family Scholarship. Carsen Hall was selected, not only for his excellence in his studies, but his involvement with many activities throughout his high school career including Indian Pals and many athletic achievements.
The 2nd recipient was Luke Kearney who was selected for his work ethic, athletic achievements and the fun, energy and enthusiasm he brought throughout his high school career to the field, basketball court, classroom and to everyone who had the privilege of watching him work with kids and play sports.
