As the top Winnebago dealer in the country, focusing solely on Winnebago motorhomes, we receive a number of questions regarding Winnebago RVs. A common question we receive is “What is the difference between the Class A Gas Winnebago Adventurer and the Winnebago Vista?”
Both the Adventurer and the Vista are Class A gasoline powered motorhomes built on the Ford F53 Chassis with the Driver Confidence Package which includes technologies for better RV control and handling. Apart from that, they are very different. Below we will review key differences in the Winnebago Adventurer and the Winnebago Vista and Winnebago Sunstar focusing on the Chassis, Exterior, Interior, Floorplans, Heating and Cooling and the Electrical System in each. The Winnebago Vista and Winnebago Sunstar are identical, offering the same features, floorplans etc. The only difference is the name on the side of the coach. For comparison purposes we will reference the Winnebago Vista although this information is true for the Winnebago Sunstar as well.
VISTA: The Vista includes a 7.3L PFI V8 engine, TorqShift™ 6-speed automatic transmission w/tow/haul, and a 210-amp. alternator. The Vista also includes hydraulic brakes w/ABS and automatic hydraulic leveling jacks. The Vista provides the option of adding the SumoSprings suspension enhancement.
ADVENTURER: The Adventurer includes a 7.3L V8 engine, TorqShift™ 6-speed automatic transmission w/tow/haul, Hydro-Max System power brakes, 4-wheel ABS and a 210-amp. alternator. The Adventurer includes automatic hydraulic leveling-jacks. The Adventurer includes SumoSprings on the front and rear suspension and has a steering stabilizer system.
VISTA: The exterior of the Vista is a premium high-gloss sidewall skin with a protective front mask. You can choose to add the option of the High-Rez Exterior Upgrade Package which includes: premium full-body paint, LED lamps/fog lamps, chrome side mirror and a grille inlay applique.
The Vista includes an exterior entertainment system in each of its (4) floorplans. The 29V includes a 39″ HDTV with remote and speakers while the 31B | 33K | 34R floorplans include a 32″ HDTV. The 29V | 31B floorplans includes an exterior Tailgate Package which includes a refrigerator, storage cabinet, LED lights, LP Quick-Connect, stainless steel sink, single lever faucet and more.
ADVENTURER: The exterior of the Adventurer includes the following as standard features: premium full-body paint, a high-gloss gel-coat fiberglass skin, a one piece fiberglass front cap, LED lamps and chrome side mirrors and luggage door handles. The Adventurer also includes the KeyOne lock system. The exterior entertainment center on the Adventurer includes a 32″ HDTV, (2) speakers, a DVD player and an AM/FM radio.
VISTA: The galley in the Vista includes Corian Countertops and a Corian backsplash with a tile inlay. Also included is a Microwave Oven with a 3-burner gas range top with the option of adding a large oven. The refrigerator is a large stainless steel 10.0 cu. ft. (2) door refrigerator and freezer
ADVENTURER: The galley in the Adventurer includes Corian Countertops with a ceramic tile backsplash, a Microwave/Convection Oven, Gas/Induction Range Top Combo and custom pantry baskets. The large stainless steel residential refrigerator and freezer includes an ice-maker and a water dispenser.
VISTA: The 32″ HDTV bedroom TV is an option in the Vista. Each floorplan includes a king-sized bed with a foam mattress and storage below.
ADVENTURER: The 32″ HDTV is standard in the Adventurer bedroom. Adventurer floorplans also each include a king-sized bed, however these beds feature the WinnSleep premium serene foam mattress with storage below.
VISTA: The Winnebago Vista is available in (4) floorplans ranging from 30′ in length to 35’5″ in length and sleep 5-6 people dependent on floorplan.
The Vista 29V is the shortest of the floorplans at 30” in length. This floorplan features one large full length slideout housing your choice of a sofa bed or theater seating as well as kitchen and bedroom storage. The all-in-one bath and dinette are located on the passenger side of this coach.
The Vista 31B measures 31’2” in length. This floorplan features one large driver side full length slideout that houses the dinette, kitchen, bunk beds and bedroom storage. It boasts a large all-in-one bath and a spacious sofa bed located across from the dinette.
The Vista 33K measures 34’3” in length. This double slideout floorplan in includes a king-sized bed in the passenger side slideout and the dinette, kitchen and bedroom storage in the driver side slideout. Across from the front dinette is your choice of a sofa bed or theater seating. This coach boasts a bath and a half with the master bathroom in the rear of the coach and the guest 1/2 bathroom located on the passenger size mid-coach.
And finally, the longest of the floorplans, the Vista 34R floorplan measures 35’5″ in length. This double slideout floorplan includes a king-sized Murphy bed that can be converted into a work station when raised, bathroom, and U-Shaped dinette in the driver side slideout. It features your choice of a sofa bed or theater seating, kitchen, large pantry with exterior storage access and bedroom storage in the passenger side slideout. The large all-in-one bathroom includes a spacious shower.
ADVENTURER: The Winnebago Adventurer is available in (3) floorplans ranging from 35’6” in length to 37’3” in length and sleep 5-6 people dependent on floorplan. Each floorplan is also available with the option of adding a powered StudioLoft bed which adds additional sleeping capacity for up to (2) people. Each floorplan includes the option of adding a washer/dryer combo.
The Adventurer 34W is the shortest of the floorplans at 35’6” in length and features two slideouts. The driver side slideout houses the Dinette with Hi-Lo Table and the powered theater sofa seating. The rear passenger side slideout, houses the king-sized bed.
The Adventurer 35F measures 35’10” in length. This double slideout floorplan in includes a king-sized bed in the passenger side slideout and the Dinette with Hi-Lo Table and your choice of extendable sectional sofa or powered theater sofa seating in the driver-side slideout. This floorplan includes a bath-and-a-half. The master bathroom is in the rear of the coach while the 1/2 guest bathroom is passenger side center coach.
And finally, the longest of the floorplans, the Adventurer 36Z measures 37’3” in length. This triple slideout floorplan includes a full-length passenger side slideout. In the passenger-side slideout you’ll find the entertainment center with fireplace, the kitchen and bedroom wardrobe. In the driver-side front slideout you’ll find the BenchMark Dinette with Hi-Lo Table and your choice of TrueComfort+ Sofa or powered theater seating. The rear driver-side slideout houses the king-sized. This floorplan also boasts a bath-and-a-half. The master bathroom in the rear of the coach features a large shower while the 1/2 bath is located driver side mid-coach.
HEATING AND COOLING
VISTA: The Vista 29V | 31B floorplans include a single 15,000 BTU Air Conditioner as standard equipment with the option of adding the Cooling Upgrade Package which then provides (2) 13,500 BTU Air Conditioners. The Vista 33K | 34F floorplans include (2) 13,500 BTUs Air Conditioners as a standard feature.
Each floorplan includes a 35,000 BTUs low-profile furnace.
ADVENTURER: Each Adventurer floorplan includes (2) 13,500 BTU Air Conditioners with heat kits. They also include a 40,000 BTU ducted in-floor furnace.
VISTA: The Winnebago Vista includes a 30-amp. power cord in the 29V | 31B floorplans. The 33K | 34R floorplans include a 50-amp. power cord. The Vista 29V | 31B floorplans include a 4,000-watt Cummins Onan MicroQuiet Gas Generator while the 33K | 34R floorplans include the 5,500-watt Cummins Onan MicroQuiet Gas Generator. Each floorplan includes a 1,000-watt inverter and (2) deep-cycle Group 31 Marine/RV batteries as well as solar panel/battery charger wiring prep that can support up to 460-watts of solar. The Vista includes the option of adding a 30-amp solar panel battery charger with a 115-watt roof mounted solar panel.
You can choose the optional Cooling Upgrade Package for the 29V | 31B floorplans which then provides a 50-amp. power cord and a 5,500-watt Cummins Onan MicroQuiet Gas Generator.
ADVENTURER: The Adventurer includes a 50-amp. power cord. The Adventurer includes a 5,500-watt Cummins Onan Marquis Gold Gas Generator in each floorplan. It features an Energy Management System and an automatic generator start system. The Adventurer also has a generator/shoreline automatic changeover switch. The Adventurer includes a 2,000-watt inverter/charger and 4 deep-cycle Group 31 Marine/RV batteries. The Adventurer includes solar panel/battery charger wiring prep with the option of adding a 30-amp solar panel battery charger with a 115-watt roof mounted solar panel.
