Are you considering purchasing a new or used Winnebago Solis 59p or 59PX? If so, we’ve gathered the top questions from a Lichtsinn RV LIVE presentation. See the Top Ten Questions on the Winnebago Solis 59P and 59PX below:
Which chassis does the Winnebago Solis use?
The Solis 59P is based on the Ram ProMaster chassis 2500 Series. The PX utilizes the 3500 series chassis. Both models feature the same 280 horsepower 3.6L V6 engine and drivetrain.
What colors are available?
The Winnebago Solis is available in Deep Cherry Red, Bright Silver and Bright White.
Are both models available with pop-top?
Both the 59P and 59PX are available with or without the pop-top studio loft.
Can I get air conditioning for my Solis?
The Solis 59PX features the Coleman®-Mach® 10 NDQ air conditioner with directional vents installed as standard equipment with or without the pop-top. The 59P has a 13,500 BTU air conditioner as an available option that is only available without the pop-top.
Are both models available with generator?
The 59PX comes standard with the Cummins Onan® QG 2800i gas generator. The generator is not available on the 59P but many people use a quiet portable generator to provide power for the campervan.
Does the Winnebago Solis have solar power as standard equipment? Is a lithium power system available?
If you opt for the overhead pop-top studio loft, the Solis comes with a standard 220-watt flexible surface solar panel to recharge the the dual 12V AGM deep cycle batteries. The non-pop top Solis versions include a 170-watt solar panel. Either setup is expandable up to 450 watts with additional panels. A lithium option is not available from the factory, but our service team is experienced in installing aftermarket lithium power systems.

What is the weight limit of the overhead pop-top sleeping area?
The overhead studio loft is limited to 440 pounds. The ladder to the loft supports up to 220 pounds. The Murphy+ Bed is also rated for 440 pounds.
Is there a difference between the 2021 and 2022 Solis models?
There are no model year differences.
If you delete the pop-top in the 59P or the 59PX do you get a fan?
If you aren’t interested getting the pop top you will receive roughly a $6200 dealer cost credit. Non-pop top units will be equipped with the Maxx Air premium vent system. The fan is in a sealed marine rain hood so you can leave the vehicle and not worry about rainfall penetration. It’s thermostatically controlled so it opens and operates to cool your RV automatically.
Does the Solis come with a spare tire?
The Solis comes with a tire-inflation repair kit as standard equipment but there are aftermarket options to mount a spare tire on the rear doors of the Solis.
