RAGBRAI, the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Across Iowa, is a well-known, eight-day recreational festival of bicycles, food, music, community and more. It is the oldest, largest and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world, now reaching its 52nd ride across the state. Each year, multiple cities are chosen across Iowa to host overnight stays for the 500-mile ride which runs from west to east across the state of Iowa. This year, the event starts in Orange City with the annual RAGBRAI Expo and ends in Guttenberg. The other overnight cities include the following:
- Friday, July 19 – Orange City
- Saturday, July 20 – Milford
- Monday, July 21 – Estherville
- Tuesday, July 22 – Forest City

- Wednesday, July 23 – Iowa Falls
- Thursday, July 24 – Cedar Falls

Three registration types are offered including weeklong rider, weeklong non-rider and day pass options. Registration includes many opportunities including access to live entertainment each night, provisions for camping locations, access and discounts at food vendors, bicycle repairs shows and merchandise, baggage transport between overnight communities, and more.
Each year, the event also features the RAGBRAI LII Concert Series which features top national and local bands. The concerts are all free and open to the public, but you can also upgrade your concert experience with a VIP ticket.
