Heavy-Duty Off-Road Performance
The Winnebago ARKA Overland Adventure Truck is built on a lifted Ram 5500 crew cab chassis powered by a Cummins 6.7L turbo diesel engine delivering 800 lb.-ft. of torque and up to 15,000 pounds of towing capacity. The ARKA features a ZeroTorsion Frame system in which the main living area and overhead sleeping bunk float independently from the crew cab using four pillow block bearings. This innovative design helps to absorb chassis flex and vibration while maintaining structural integrity during extreme off-road travel. This design allows the ARKA to better handle bending, flexing, water fording and vibration on uneven terrain.
Rugged Terrain and Ground Clearance
Optimized approach, breakover, and departure angles, along with the absence of low-hanging underbody components, allow the ARKA to confidently tackle rugged terrain. For even greater ground clearance, the ARKA is equipped with Buckstop 20-inch 8K Pro HD wheels paired with Petlas 335/80R20 all-terrain tires, creating an impressive 41-inch overall tire diameter. The ARKA has a built-in air compressor if needed for the tires. The single rear wheel configuration provides improved traction and ground pressure to help reach firmer underlying soil in challenging conditions. An advanced pitch and roll monitoring system helps to maintain proper vehicle leveling on uneven terrain, adding additional confidence and stability during remote adventures. The bolted on roof rack with branch guards protect the roof of the ARKA.
Advanced Off-Grid Power Systems
Powered by the Winnebago Power Max lithium system, the ARKA is designed for up to 14 days of remote living. The system includes a Lithionics UL 1973-certified 48V, 165 amp-hour lithium battery delivering 8,448 watt-hours of power capacity. Owners can expand the system with an additional Lithionics battery for a total of 330 amp-hours or 16,896 watt-hours.
The EcoFlow 5-in-1 Power Hub Pro integrates a 3,600-watt pure sine wave inverter (7,200-watt surge), 3,000-watt converter charger, DC-to-DC converter for 12V power, and an MPPT solar charge controller into one advanced energy management system. The ARKA includes 800 watts of roof-mounted Merlin solar panels, expandable to 1,200 watts for additional off-grid capability. Dual RAM and Lithionics VSG 48V smart alternators can recharge the lithium system from 10% to 100% in approximately two hours.
Extended Off-Grid Water Capability
To further extend off-grid independence, the ARKA features a 60-gallon heated and insulated fresh water tank along with a 40-gallon heated and insulated gray water tank. It has a large 52-gallon fuel tank. A built-in UV water purification system helps disinfect water by inactivating up to 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and cysts, providing additional confidence during extended remote travel.
