FOREST CITY, IOWA, JUNE 2026 – Members of the Winnebago leadership team hosted a special luncheon for the Lichtsinn RV staff at the dealership’s location in Forest City, Iowa on June 23. The event celebrated Lichtsinn RV’s 50th dealership anniversary and recognized the longstanding partnership between Lichtsinn RV and Winnebago.
More than a dozen members of the Winnebago team attended the celebration. Ron Lichtsinn, owner of Lichtsinn RV, opened the event by thanking the dealership’s team members for their dedication and contributions over the past five decades. He also reflected on the significance of celebrating Lichtsinn RV’s 50-year milestone during the same year the United States marks its 250th birthday.
During his remarks, Ron spoke about the importance of honoring the men and women who have served, and continue to serve, in the U.S. military, whose sacrifices have helped make the nation’s 250-year history possible. He recognized Lichtsinn RV team members who are veterans, as well as those with family members who have served in the military. Ron concluded by expressing his gratitude to Winnebago for its partnership and support throughout the dealership’s history.
Chris West, President of the Winnebago Motorhomes and Specialty Vehicles Division, then addressed the group. He introduced the Winnebago team members in attendance and thanked the Lichtsinn RV staff for their partnership and commitment over many years.
Heidi Thompson, Vice President and General Manager of Lichtsinn RV, followed with remarks highlighting several Winnebago team members who have provided valuable support to the dealership during key periods of growth and change. She then introduced a short video featuring Ron Lichtsinn Sr., founder of Lichtsinn RV, who shared memories of his relationship with John K. Hanson, founder of Winnebago Industries, and recounted how Lichtsinn RV first became a Winnebago Motorhomes dealer.
Following the video, members of the Winnebago team served lunch to the Lichtsinn RV staff. The meal, catered by local Forest City businesses, provided an opportunity for team members from both organizations to connect and celebrate together. As an additional gesture of appreciation, Winnebago presented each Lichtsinn RV team member with a personalized gift.
The luncheon served as a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the shared history, strong partnership, and mutual commitment that have connected Winnebago and Lichtsinn RV for the past 50 years while also reinforcing a strong foundation for the next chapter of their longstanding relationship.
