Battle of the B’s: The Winnebago Travato Standard vs. Lithium

The Class B Camper Van market continues to grow and offers a number of different options for those looking to go where they want, when they want, in an RV.  Class B motorhomes are compact and smaller in stature compared to traditional Class A and Class C Motorhomes. Class B’s are also larger and taller than a typical full-sized van allowing space within the Class B RV for living, sleeping and a wet bath. Winnebago offers a number of different Class B van options, we will discuss the Winnebago Travato Class B Van below.

The Winnebago Travato features all-season roof and sidewall insulation. The Travato is equipped with insulated flooring with a vapor barrier, above-floor waterlines, heated tanks and available dual-pane acrylic insulated windows which extend the camping season. The Travato’s Eco-Hot® water system cuts water waste and waiting time for hot water.

The Winnebago Travato is available in 2 floorplans and is built on the RAM ProMaster Chassis. This Chassis includes Uconnect with a 10” Multimedia Touchscreen Infotainment Center and a digital rearview mirror. RAM ProMaster safety features include Crosswind Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus, Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking System and Post Collision Braking. Each of the 2 floorplans in the Travato are available with or without the Lithium Power System. This system allows you extended off grid stays. We will discuss this system in more detail below.

Winnebago Travato Lithium vs. Standard

The Winnebago Travato measures 21’ in length and can sleep up to two people. The Travato 59K|59KL floorplan features twin beds/seating area that can be converted into one large flex bed system. The 59G|59GL features a rear corner bed that stores upright and a dinette with 3-point seat belts. Each of the Winnebago Travato floorplans galleys includes Corian solid-surface countertop, a Flip-Up (59G|59GL) or Pull-Out countertop extension (59K|59KL) and 2-burner range LP Cooktop (59G|59K) or a single burner induction cooktop (59GL|59KL.) The 59K|59KL floorplan include a 4.3 cu. ft. compressor-driven refrigerator while the 59G|59GL floorplan includes a two-door 6.0 cu. ft. compressor-driven refrigerator. Each Travato floorplan includes swiveling cab seats that become an integral part of the living area.

As mentioned above, each of the Travato’s floorplans is available with or without the Lithium Power System. The designation of an “L” after the floorplan denotes that it includes lithium. For instance, the Travato 59K and the Travato 59KL are identical floorplan layouts, the KL simply includes the Lithium Power system. The differences in the electrical  power systems between the standard and lithium models are listed below.
