Why Winnebago: Rotocast Holding Tanks

Winnebago has several manufacturing methods that cause customers to choose Winnebago over other RV manufacturers. One method is Winnebago’s rotational molded components manufactured in Winnebago’s Rotocast facility. Having the ability to manufacture components like water tanks, luggage compartments, heat ducts, and wheel wells in their own facility allows them to maximize space, ensure optimal weight distribution, and make spare parts available years down the road. Rotocast Facility

In the Rotocast facility, polyethylene powder is placed into specially shaped molds. These molds are heated, changing the powder to liquid, rotated to distribute the liquid evenly, and cooled to produce the hardened seamless parts. Winnebago produces more than 3.5 million pounds of rotocast goods annually, each component designed to precisely fit its specific application. And because we own the molds, we know parts will be available for years to come.
