Plain Ol’ Pumpkins – Clear Lake, IA
Plain Ol’ Pumpkins is located just 20 minutes from our dealership in Clear Lake, Iowa, and includes all of the fall classics such as pumpkin picking and a corn maze. It also includes some more unique activities including zipline, pumpkin slingshot, and a pedal tractor course. During your visit, be sure to also check out the many other highlights of Clear Lake including restaurants, historical sites and more.
Flatrack Farms Pumpkin Patch – Garner, IA
Flatrack Farms is another great fall spot that is a mere 15 minutes from the dealership in Garner, Iowa and includes convenient, fall fun. The pumpkin patch features u-pick pumpkins of all varieties, gourds, mums, Indian corn, baked goods and more. Additional activities include a pumpkin slingshot, petting zoo with goats and chickens, numerous yards games and pumpkin painting.
Scarecrow Farm – Lawton, IA
If your trip to or from Lichtsinn RV will take you west, be sure to stop by Scarecrow Farm in Lawton, Iowa, to explore over 30 acres of fall activities. Located only 4-miles outside of Sioux City, the farm is easy to access just off of I-29. A day at the Scarerow Farm includes a full day of fun with a pumpkin patch, sunflower fields, u-pick raspberries, an extensive 5-acre corn maze and many more farm attractions. If you get hungry during your visit, you can enjoy their apple cider donuts, kettle corn, Cherry Chiller slushies and more.
Colony Acres Family Farm – North Liberty, IA
Colony Acres Family Farm is located 3 hours southeast of Lichtsinn RV in North Liberty, Iowa, a suburb of Iowa City, which is located conveniently along both I-80 and I-380. The family farm is close to celebrating 100 years of farming and not only shares fall activities with visitors but also features a variety of freshly cut trees and greenery during the Christmas season. Fall activities include u-pick pumpkins, mums, corn stalks and more as well as hayrides, a tractor train ride and bounce houses.
The Community Orchard – Fort Dodge, IA
The Community Orchard is a highlight of Fort Dodge, Iowa, located only an hour and a half south of Lichtsinn RV and offers a variety of events from July through December. Explore the expansive apple orchard, pumpkin patch and corn maze while also making a stop at the shop to pick up some of your favorite items including gift boxes, salsa, jams, and of course apples! The Community Orchard also features the Apple Orchard Café that servers lunch daily as well as delicious desserts and pastries.
Center Grove Orchard – Cambridge, IA
Center Grove Orchard is located in Cambridge, Iowa, 2 hours south of Lichtsinn RV and only 20 minutes north of Iowa state capitol in Des Moines. A mere 5 minutes off of I-35, the expansive, 20-acre orchard features more than 34 types of delicious, home-grown apples throughout the season and a wide variety of activities to enjoy. While the orchard does offer classics such as a pumpkin patch, hayrides and a corn maze, you can also enjoy an even wider range of activities such as petting zoo, super slides, barn show, corn pool, and so much more!
