The Winnebago EKKO is a Class C RV that blends the off-road nomadic nature of van life with the storage and livability of traditional touring class motor homes. The Winnebago EKKO has unmatched off-grid and all-season capabilities. The Winnebago EKKO is available in 2 floorplans, the EKKO 22A is built on the all-wheel-drive Ford Transit chassis while the EKKO 23B is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Diesel AWD chassis. Each of these chassis are fully-loaded with advanced safety features and enhanced handling that maximizes traction for all of your off-road adventures.
The EKKO is ready to take you where you want to go! The EKKO 22As Ford AWD Transit Chassis, has a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 gas engine with 10-speed automatic Selectshift transmission with overdrive and grade braking. The EKKO 23Bs Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis, has a high-output, turbo-diesel engine and 9-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Each EKKO floorplan includes electric power assisted steering with a tilt and telescoping wheel. The standard AWD in the EKKO engages when the EKKO detects slippage and sends torque or power to the wheels that need them, and doesn’t when it’s not needed to improve fuel economy. Selectable modes are available for muddy, rutted or slippery surfaces with the capability of sending 100% torque to a needed axle.
Each EKKO Chassis includes many standard safety features including: Blind Spot Monitoring, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Active Brake Assist and Dual Front Airbags. In addition the EKKO 23B includes a digital rearview mirror that enhances visibility and reduces glare. The EKKO includes a spare tire as a standard feature so you won’t be caught off-road with a flat tire.
You can camp almost anywhere in the EKKO. The EKKO 22A includes (3) solar panels that provide 455-watts of solar power. The EKKO 23B also includes (3) solar panels that provide 530-watts of solar power. If you choose the Pop-Top option in either floorplan, the standard panels are replaced with a 220-watt solar flexible surface solar panel located on the Pop-Top roof.
The power horse of the Winnebago EKKO is its 320-amp-hour-Lithionics lithium ion battery. The EKKO 22A also includes a 2,800-watt gas generator while the EKKO 23B includes a 2,500-watt LP generator. You can choose to add a 320-amp-hour Lithionics lithium ion battery in the 22A or a 630-amp-hour Lithionics lithium ion battery in the 23B. With either factory option you are required to then remove the generator. However, you can instead choose to have Lichtsinn RV install the additional battery and keep the original battery and the generator for additional power on the go.
The EKKO 22A has a 31-gallon fuel tank, while the EKKO 23B has a 24.5-gallon fuel tank providing an extended driving range. Each EKKO floorplan boasts a 50-gallon freshwater tank and a 51-gallon gray tank to make extended stays possible. The EKKO includes an easy-to-use cassette toilet which provides you the freedom to be untethered from campground dumpstations and go where you like since you can dump the 5-gallon cassette toilet contents into any standard toilet. You can also purchase a second cassette if you wish.
The EKKO combines the efficiency of a Camper Van with the added capacity of a class C coach to create an entirely new type of RV.
